This Rolsworth-Piggenstein brooch was purchased in the Canadian province of Alberta during a ski weekend in 1968. Mrs. Deodora Entwhistle originally purchased the brooch as a door prize for an upcoming auction at her pet foundation, APHNE (Abandoned Plott Hounds of New England). Unfortunately the auction was cancelled due to a devastating nor’easter and the brooch remained in her collection.
