CANE
CANE
$4,265.00
Perhaps the oldest and most prized of the Entwhistle collection, this cane originally belonged to Napoleon Bonaparte. Utilitarian, with a strong mahogany base, the cane is structurally sound but its sculpted handle (antler) and silver band exhibit the refinement and taste of its original owner. Interestingly, the handle was carved to resemble Napoleon’s own greyhound, Sinbon. The Entwhistle family purchased the piece as part of a larger lot of Napoleon memorabilia in late 1985. It is currently displayed at their winter estate in Bennington, Vermont.
