ICE TONGS

$68.00

These early 1900’s cast iron ice tongs were originally used to move large pieces of ice. This pair was discovered in 1986 within the dirt floor of an antique ice house during a routine archeological dig at the Entwhistle’s winter estate in Bennington, Vermont. Except for a brief span on loan in the agricultural display at the Bennington Museum, the piece has resided within the Entwhistle estate alongside the Hans Brinker skates.

they have remained on display in the Agricultural Collection ever since.
