WHO KILLED KEN?
KEN DAULE
Ken Daule is dead...
and one of the lovely ladies of Barbizon Estates is responsible. But these sisters are nothing, if not loyal to one another. Well-versed in deception, they are doing their best to cover up the crime.
One thing is for certain, Mr. Daule was killed at 10 am this morning by one of these “dolls” (Sammi, Rose, Jasmine, Rachel, or London). They definitely used one of the five tools found onsite (the saw, screwdriver, scissors, hammer, or the monkey wrench) though no one knows which one for sure. Lastly, the murder took place in one of the rooms of the house (kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, or bedroom) but unfortunately the body was moved to the garage like some sort of discarded trash before the police even arrived on the scene.
EVIDENCE INVENTORY
Your job as house manager (and “fixer”) for the Barbizon Estates is to find out which lady did the deed, what weapon she used, and where she committed the crime before anyone else does. Your next job is to clean up the mess before the press gets wind of the scandal. After all, the press can be vicious and, as these ladies know, appearances are EVERYTHING.
Lucky for you these gals had already gotten their stories straight by the time the crime photographer arrived at 12pm. To confuse the investigators they rearranged themselves in the house so that no one appeared in the same room as they were at the time of the murder. They also re-positioned each of the weapons (ahem, alleged weapons) so that none was in the same place at 12 as it had been at 10 am. They didn’t find time to change their clothes, however. That much is certain. Other than this detail, the pictures tell us more about what didn’t happen.

Here’s what we do know:
We know that only two ladies had shoes on their feet, the gal in blue and the one in green. This is important because everyone knows that these ladies are VERY protective of their footwear. They would never have committed any murder anywhere near ANY shoes. This means that no murder took place in any room adjacent to the shoe rack and it certainly wasn’t committed by any of the ladies wearing shoes. Forensics confirms this assumption.
Rose said that she was innocently making gifts at the time of the murder, “three each for each of my four best friends,” she explained. As it turns out, there was evidence to support this and she’s no longer considered a suspect.
We dusted for fingerprints and while it was inconclusive we can tell you that neither Jasmine, nor the girl in blue has recently touched the saw. Neither Sammi nor the one in pink have been in the bathroom either. Interestingly, there were no fingerprints on either of the mirrors in the bathroom. The girl in green accidentally left her water bottle behind in one of the rooms, however, and her prints were all over it.
London has a fear of heights and has not ever, and will not ever go to the third floor. The lady in blue hasn’t set foot on the second. Meanwhile Jasmine, a bit of an anorexic, avoids rooms where food is typically present.
The scissors showed evidence of meat residue but the forensic team has identified it as avian.
Puff, the house cat, is only allowed in one room of the mansion. The ladies would NEVER bring any sharp tools (intended for cutting) into this room, for fear that they might cause injury to their beloved pet.
Lastly, Ken’s brother Gregory was in the house at the time of the murder. He tells us that he was with his girlfriend Rachel at both 10am and 12pm and can offer her a “rock-solid alibi.” He tells us that there is no way the murder could have occurred on the same floor as the one he was on at 10 because he would have heard it and possibly saw it. In fact, he did see London in the adjacent room with the screwdriver that morning. She was fixing Ken’s glasses. Ken, however, was not in the same room as her. Also, he was able to hear someone doing some light hammering in one of the rooms downstairs.
