KUSUDAMA
Literally translated to “medicine ball” from Japanese, Kusudama is a form of modular origami in which multiple, identical folded units are attached together to form a sphere. Pictured is the Farandola Gemma by famed origami designer, Ekaterina Lukashiva.
There are multiple how-to videos and instructions available. HERE is one.
Your task is to make your own Kusudama creation using whatever paper you have available. Magazines might have the right stiffness and pleasing color but printer paper can also be useful. Your gift will be offered to the diplomat from Japan.
